Ichnocarpus frutescens, Ficus dalhousie, Crateva magna, Alpinia galangal, and Swertia chiraita are well-known plants available throughout India they commonly used for the treatment of various diseases including diabetes mellitus. The antidiabetic activity individual plant parts is well known, but synergistic or combined effects unclear. Polyherbal formulations enhance therapeutic action reduce concentrations single herbs, thereby reducing adverse events. aim present study to formulate a polyherbal tea bag formulation evaluate its in vivo potential. was formulated using crude powder plants. herbal depicts hyperglycemic both normal experimentally induced hyperglycemia rats. (100 mL/kg b.w.) screened against streptozotocin-nicotinamide mellitus infusion extract administered 21 consecutive days, effect on blood glucose levels studied at regular intervals. At end study, samples were collected from all animals biochemical estimation (SGOT SGPT). showed significant this comparable with that Metformin.
